First off, we'd like to welcome you to Eastern Shore Riding Academy. I know that everyone doesn't like reading rules, but we don't like to enforce them either, so follow the rules and everything will go fine.
In Character
I. Don't post with your character until your character is accepted. Once your character is accepted, please post in the Main Office after making your horse and doing your claims.
II. You must have a word count of 300 words, though we'll accept 250 or 200 if you've never rped before. Please let us know if you need help getting to 300 words, and one of our staff will be more than happy to give you tips on how to get there.
III. Our time is the same year and season as that of this current year and season.
IV. We are PG-13 site so please don't go above PG-13 as that would violate Proboards ToS.
V. Please no huge amount of swearing in posts. Some is okay, but if your character is swearing every line or so, that is not okay and you will be warned and the words will be deleted if you continue. Also, please try to censor the vowels of the swear words. I.e.;'d*mn'
VI. After your character is accepted, please change your display name to that of your character's name.
VII. No more than two horses with students and staff may have no more than five horses.
VIII. Stallions aren't allowed. Period. They must either be getting gelded soon, where they will stay in a separate pen away from mares until they are gelded.
IX. Ask before using someone's stuff and if you break it, you buy it.
Out of Character
I. No spamming
II. Applications must be finished within two weeks of join date and if rejected, must be finished a week after rejection date. If not finished, the application will be locked.
III. Not a lot of swearing in the chat-box...the c-box is also PG-13 and any messages going over that will be deleted. Any posts going over PG-13 will be edited and have those parts taken out of the post.
IV. You will be warned if you aren't posting the word count.
V. Students may skip checking in as we currently don't have a secretary yet. As soon as we have a secretary though, checking in at the main office will be required. For now, your room number will be in your acceptance post.
VI. No chat speak in anything but the chat-box
